The Arvon Experience

March 17, 2010

Arvon is hosting an open evening for all those whose writing buds tickle but have not yet found out what the Arvon experience is all about.
We are recreating our rural centres in miniature in our London house, the Free Word Centre. Tomorrow afternoon we’ll be busy with putting a lawn down in our lecture theatre, building a shed, and laying out some very literary deck chairs. From 6:30 onwards, doors will open for you to have fun in this indoors garden!
You’ll be able to taste regional cheeses representing our centres, and yummy (oh so yummy) treats from Yotam Ottolenghi, one of the tutors of our food writing course.
This is a one-off event, and there aren’t that many chances to get a real taste of what Arvon is about, so if I were one of my readers even marginally interested in writing, I would make sure I don’t miss it! Plus you get the chance of being served food by my shiny self – now how often does that happen.

For more information check this page on the Arvon website.
